Spora Ask for an invite

Terms

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Hubert Burton, Oslo, Norway ("we"). They apply when you use the Spora app and its cloud service. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you use Spora for a business, you accept them on its behalf.

What Spora is

Spora helps mushroom growers keep records: cultures, batches, checks, harvests, plans, stock, orders and labels. It is a record-keeping tool, not professional, food-safety, agricultural or legal advice. Forecasts, dates and other figures it calculates are estimates based on what you enter. You decide what to do with them.

Your account

Your data belongs to you

You keep all rights to the records and photos you put into Spora. You let us store, copy, sync and show them only as needed to run the service for you. You can export your data and delete your account at any time. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Fair use

Do not use Spora to grow, offer or trade anything that is illegal where you live, to break food-safety or other laws, to upload unlawful or abusive content, or to attack, overload or try to get into other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do. Where reasonable, we tell you first and let you respond.

Labels and printers

Spora prints to supported Bluetooth label printers and to PDF. Printer makers are not connected to us, and we can't promise every model or firmware works.

Price

Spora is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before any feature you use becomes paid, and you will never be charged unless you choose to buy. Paid plans would be sold through Apple or Google, under their terms for payment, renewal and refunds. You always keep access to your data and can export it.

Availability and backups

We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Spora works offline and keeps your records on your phone, so you can keep working when the cloud is down. Keep your own backups of important records: the app makes a daily backup on the phone and can export a full backup file. We may change, add or remove features, and we will tell you in advance before removing one that is central to how you use Spora.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Spora and delete your account at any time. We can end the service for you if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we stop offering Spora altogether, we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your data.

Liability

Spora is provided as it is, as far as the law allows. We are not liable for lost crops, lost production, lost income or other indirect losses, or for decisions made from the app's records or estimates, unless caused by our gross negligence or intent. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under Norwegian or other mandatory law.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.

Law and disputes

Norwegian law applies. We will first try to solve any disagreement with you directly. Consumers can also contact Forbrukerrådet and use the courts where they live, as consumer law allows. Otherwise, disputes go to Oslo tingrett.
